Magleby's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cream:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Add:
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups 3 Tbsp flour
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts  (I substituted English toffee bits)

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.  Do not over bake!
